As a continuation of my Massive Linkpost of Doom regarding the Day of StrikeThru07, I'll keep posting some "after" shots here, though I told myself I wouldn't. :x I'm not going to go crazy about it, though, and I won't be sharing the link, but if you want to send it to someone I don't mind. I'm not as upset and you'd think I'd be, and I'm not as upset as I keep writing. I don't know why. Am I just that cynical? I'm only 17!

The comment I was going to post until I found out you needed to make an account: I would like to point out that you mention that Six Apart "moved quickly" to make a statement - in truth, I logged into Livejournal at 8am to find out that this had happened and the news post was not made by the time I went to bed at 11pm. Although a one-day response to a problem may seem reasonable for a bank, a company, or a social institution anyone who spends a large amount of time on the internet knows how much can happen in a day. This is aside from the fact that the community was aware that the staff were aware of the problem and were rioting at the gates, and yet no one bothered to so much as stick their head out a window to let us know that we were heard.

And now I have a question. When is LJ going to make an official post on this?

I have deleted my interests just to be safe, but that is only because I would rather not have four years of posts deleted over something like this. I hate being told to do something, but since someone I know knows someone whom this has happened to I think it is worth taking seriously.

This does not happen on my territory.

And, on a smaller note, youtube has joined the List of the Blocked while at school. What a lovely day for free speech.
Mass protest worked in that case (plus a few youtube-obsessed teachers).

I now have an account at GreatestJournal under the same username. It will only be used for this and backup purposes.

The newest in is saying that a Blogspot group under the name Pedoblog Tracker (intentionally no link) were also setting up the list of supposed "pedophiles" and asking their viewers to find a way to flag them for deletion. More as it comes.

The news post seems to show no sign of slowing down and this collection of links just keeps getting longer and longer. I can't stop linking long enough to read the newest Tsubasa chapter, for heaven's sake! Hopefully the rumors are true that this will all be over soon.

As of 8:02pm EST I have got repeated error messages when refreshing the news post. Comments have been wonky for a few hours now. Still no statement.

It has been fourteen hours and still nothing. I need to get some sleep, but I'm still not satisfied. If I have to leave this website behind I will be seriously upset, but I refuse to condone this kind of behavior by staying.

If a post ever does get made by the people in charge, will someone please comment on this post for archival purposes with a link? I won't be able to do anything tomorrow due to classes.

At least I made some new friends out of all this. ♥ to fandom.

Those of you who have reviewed me on effeff before know that I answer every review with a PM, even if it's only "aww... so cute!" (yes, that's a direct quote). I hardly ever review myself, but I guess it just feels like an obligation to thank the people who take the time for me. It's also a bit of a vanity thing, of course, so I can remind myself that there are other people who actually read my fic the same way that I used to whorship other fanfic writers on effeff when I first started out as a crappy Kai/Rei writer. >>; I had good role models, though. >D *sends luff to redbladers* This time I let them pile up for a good month or so, which meant about 35 reviews in total. I still have a crapload of fic sitting around that I had inteded to upload back then but then Ficwad went on the fritz and I stopped for the day and never got back to it. ^^; Perhaps I'll do that tomorrow night.

I've got to do a speech in Hitler's style tomorrow for World History on the subject of Chocolate ice cream being better than Vanilla ice cream. I have no problem with the topic, of course, and the speech is all written, but I dread it anyways. I hate doing speeches in any case, and this is supposed to be emphatic and ranting and raving style - too much acting for my sake. Oh well. There really isn't any way to get out of it unless I fake sick tomorrow and that's probably not going to happen because I'd feel guilty for skipping Chem and Calc (not Economics, because I hate that course).
